When knowing answers arise, allow them to crystallize into intention and take action.
Without action, inspiration can remain locked in as ideas and theories, limiting the expression of our full potential and power.
Taking action often takes courage, particularly when we are guided to leave or confront someone to set healthy boundaries, or ask for forgiveness and make amends. Expressing truth can subject one to judgment and criticism or even oppression.
We may also need to find energy and strength to overcome inertia when doing good may not initially feel good. For example, it can be challenging to begin a weight loss program, start exercising or quit tobacco, or even adhere to a medical regimen prescribed by a healthcare provider.
It can be helpful to ask for guidance and support, both external and internal, for the courage and strength to overcome any obstacles – and then act.
By acting to cultivate health in mind, body, emotions and spirit we experience a sense of wholeness. When we act from our truth, aligning knowing with intentions, words and action, we live in integrity. When guided by inner wisdom to act in love and service we have immense power.
This power inspires others. In living from home, or finding our way home when lost, we can support others to live from home too. We become more aware of how stress and uncertainty fragments wholeness and more attuned to avoid triggering someone else’s self-doubt. When we experience wholeness, we also don’t need to seek validation. We come to our relationships full, filled with greater compassion and ready to give.
One of the greatest gifts we can give others is to acknowledge their inner wisdom and support their unique expression of what they have to offer. This doesn’t necessarily mean giving any advice. Rather than giving answers, it may be the support in seeding questions that’s most helpful.
Taking action is not the final step in this Spirit Guided Health framework of Frame, Find, Evaluate and Apply. Sometimes it’s the first step. We may begin with an intention to act and ask for guidance and support to do so, trusting the how will emerge later.
After we apply ourselves we complete the circle in the framework by asking whether what we are doing is working. Are we and others vitalized by our actions? If not, we ask more questions. The moments we are invite wonder and appreciation for the source of inspiration empowering health and well-being.
